Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully. By making a reservation, you confirm that you accept these Terms and Conditions.
1. Reservation
Reservations can be made exclusively through the booking system available on the SZLAKAMI SYCYLII website by clicking the “BOOKING” button.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
A reservation may be cancelled for any reason up to 14 days before the start of the tour. In such a case, a full refund of the amount paid will be issued.
The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the tour also less than 14 days before its start for the following reasons:
In the event of cancellation by the Organiser, the deposit paid will be fully refunded. If, for any reason, the Organiser is forced to cancel the tour, the client will be informed by email or phone before the scheduled start of the tour.
Cancellation due to a subjective assessment of weather conditions does not entitle the client to a refund of the deposit. Light rain, snowfall, wind, cloudy weather or fog are not considered valid grounds for cancellation.
Failure to appear at the meeting point or cancellation less than 14 days before the start of the tour results in the loss of the deposit.
3. Changes to the Tour Plan
In the event of adverse weather conditions, volcanic risk or other significant reasons, the guide reserves the right to modify the tour programme or, in extreme cases, to interrupt the tour.
The Organiser does not guarantee the possibility of changing the route or programme at the request of participants.
The duration of the tour is approximate.
4. Transport and Meeting Point
Prices published on the website include transport from designated meeting points in Catania, Taormina or from a parking area indicated for clients arriving by their own transport from outside the city.
Where possible, the meeting point may be arranged near the participant’s accommodation. In order to arrange this, the accommodation address must be sent to trailsofsicily@gmail.com no later than 48 hours before the tour.
The Organiser is not responsible for items lost or left in the vehicle and does not provide shipping of forgotten belongings.
Due to numerous bends on the road, participants who suffer from motion sickness are advised to take appropriate precautions.
Eating and drinking in the vehicle during transport is strictly prohibited.
5. Code of Conduct and Preparation
Participants are required to comply with these Terms and Conditions and follow the guide’s instructions.
Information regarding required equipment and the level of difficulty of each tour is available on the website. Participants must familiarise themselves with this information. The person making the reservation is responsible for informing all members of their group.
Any specific health conditions must be communicated in advance.
Animals are not allowed on the tour
6. Safety
Tours take place in natural environments where there is an inherent risk of accidents.
Responsible behaviour and compliance with the guide’s instructions significantly reduce this risk.
The Organiser is not liable for incidents resulting from unforeseen circumstances or from failure to follow instructions.
7. Personal Data and Photographic Materials
By making a reservation, participants consent to the processing of personal data in accordance with applicable laws. Personal data is used solely for the organisation of the tour and is not shared with third parties.
Participation in the tour implies consent to the use of photographic and video materials for promotional purposes. Participants who do not consent to the publication of their image must inform the Organiser before the start of the tour.
